Responsibilities For Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Semi
- Plan, organize, direct, and conduct industrialization related activities within the supply chain team
- Develop, manage, audit, improve supplier planning and execution of component manufacturing
- Facilitate communication between suppliers and Tesla teams
- Conduct supplier audits
- Lead and track supplier manufacturing process development
- Guide suppliers in developing robust processes
- Validate supplier corrective actions
- Provide input on new materials for improved design
- Manage RFQs and contract management
- Drive negotiation for piece price and product development
Requirements For Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Semi
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience
- Knowledge or experience in PPAP/APQP Quality Systems
- In-depth knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and inspection
- Possess demonstrable leadership abilities
- Previous experience managing safety critical parts, wiring harnesses, and power distribution commodities
- Ability to communicate and direct supplier activities at the management level
- Proven results in meeting customer requirements and expectations
- Ability to define and execute a project using project management techniques
- Strong technical writing ability
- 30-40% travel capability, possibly on short notice
