Responsibilities For Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Semi

  • Plan, organize, direct, and conduct industrialization related activities within the supply chain team
  • Develop, manage, audit, improve supplier planning and execution of component manufacturing
  • Facilitate communication between suppliers and Tesla teams
  • Conduct supplier audits
  • Lead and track supplier manufacturing process development
  • Guide suppliers in developing robust processes
  • Validate supplier corrective actions
  • Provide input on new materials for improved design
  • Manage RFQs and contract management
  • Drive negotiation for piece price and product development

Requirements For Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Semi

  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge or experience in PPAP/APQP Quality Systems
  • In-depth knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and inspection
  • Possess demonstrable leadership abilities
  • Previous experience managing safety critical parts, wiring harnesses, and power distribution commodities
  • Ability to communicate and direct supplier activities at the management level
  • Proven results in meeting customer requirements and expectations
  • Ability to define and execute a project using project management techniques
  • Strong technical writing ability
  • 30-40% travel capability, possibly on short notice
