Tesla's Data Curation team is seeking a Technical Data Manager to play a crucial role in advancing their Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology. This position sits at the intersection of data science and autonomous vehicle development, where you'll be responsible for building and maintaining the datasets that power Tesla's neural networks.

Responsibilities For Technical Data Manager, Data Curation, Self-Driving

  • Build large, clean, diverse and aligned datasets to improve self-driving tasks
  • Design methods to collect data from engineering resources and customer fleet
  • Create training materials for Data Collection teams
  • Train personnel on designed methods/procedures
  • Develop auditing and filtering methods for data quality verification
  • Coordinate development and testing of evaluations
  • Maintain feedback loop with Data Collection, AI Engineering and Test teams
  • Write data queries to mine fleet data
  • Conduct in-vehicle testing
  • Generate reports on issues, blockers, progress and next steps

Requirements For Technical Data Manager, Data Curation, Self-Driving

Python
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Math, or proof of exceptional skills
  • Ability to thrive in rapidly changing environment with high ambiguity
  • Familiarity with Python, Pandas, NumPy, SQL, Git, Grafana, & ElasticSearch
  • Understanding of machine learning and self-driving fundamentals
  • Excellent work ethic, communication, attention to detail and collaboration skills
