Responsibilities For Technical Editor, Service Engineering
- Partner with engineering teams to create and update diagnostic information and procedures
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to gather technical information
- Validate information for accuracy and manage document approval process
- Edit content according to style guide and enforce organization standards
- Improve editorial and visual standards for documentation
- Manage tasks and information flow using collaboration software
Requirements For Technical Editor, Service Engineering
- Degree in English, Rhetoric and Composition, Technical/Professional Writing, Journalism, Communications, or equivalent
- 1-3 years working experience in related field
- Ability to edit and create accurate, complete, and clear documentation
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Experience with HTML, XML, DITA, Markdown, Git, SQL, and/or Python is a plus
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
- Self-directed and able to work independently
