This role combines technical expertise with program management, focusing on driving battery cell development from concept to mass production. The position involves working with Tesla's innovative cell engineering team that develops and qualifies battery cells for all Tesla products, including electric vehicles and energy storage solutions.

Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager, Cell Development
- Define new battery cell programs and create program plan
- Collaborate with cell vendors in APAC across different cultures and time zones
- Drive programs through development, qualification and launch with cross-functional teams
- Distill complex technical issues to their program-level impacts
- Synthesize and communicate key program information to executive level
- Identify creative solutions to address program challenges
- Prioritize engineering team projects based on corporate-level priorities
- Develop new tools and processes to improve productivity
Requirements For Technical Program Manager, Cell Development
- Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering or Physics/Chemistry or equivalent experience
- 2+ years program management or engineering experience in hardware development
- Experience collaborating with International vendors preferred
- Direct experience in lithium-ion cell design, cell qualification, cell manufacturing preferred
- Quarterly overseas travel expected
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
