Responsibilities For Test Engineer, Compliance
- Define test schedules, product sample requirements and test equipment
- Collaborate with firmware and hardware teams to design, build and commission test setups
- Develop test methodologies for FMEA, Abuse, Regulatory and Reliability test cases
- Execute tests and analyze results
- Perform root cause analysis and recreate failure modes
- Prepare and submit technical reports
- Work with Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories for product compliance
- Ensure test efficacy, regulatory controls, health and safety and equipment suitability
Requirements For Test Engineer, Compliance
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering components
- Experience with test equipment (DMM, Oscilloscope, CAN Analyzer/Logger, etc.)
- Knowledge of Fire Calorimetry, FTIR, mass loss rate and fire dynamics
- Experience with electrical CAD and circuit design/simulation software
- Experience with electrical abuse/safety testing
- Knowledge of AC/DC electrical system design concepts based on NEC
- Willing to travel nationally and internationally
