Responsibilities For Test Engineer, Compliance

  • Define test schedules, product sample requirements and test equipment
  • Collaborate with firmware and hardware teams to design, build and commission test setups
  • Develop test methodologies for FMEA, Abuse, Regulatory and Reliability test cases
  • Execute tests and analyze results
  • Prepare and submit accurate technical reports
  • Work with Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories for product compliance
  • Ensure test efficacy, regulatory controls, health and safety and equipment suitability

Requirements For Test Engineer, Compliance

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering components
  • Experience with test equipment (DMM, Oscilloscope, CAN Analyzer/Logger, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Fire Calorimetry, FTIR, mass loss rate and fire dynamics
  • Experience with electrical CAD and circuit design/simulation software
  • Experience with electrical abuse/safety testing
  • Familiar with AC/DC electrical system design concepts based on NEC
  • Willing to travel nationally and internationally
