Operation Support Engineer

Our client, a leading IT Services company, is seeking an Operation Support Engineer to join their team. This role involves providing critical support and administration for various IT systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, with experience in both Windows and Linux environments.

Key responsibilities include providing 24/7 on-call support on a roster basis, administering hardware and software systems, managing container-based virtualization platforms like Openshift and KVM, and supporting network devices. You'll also be responsible for applying OS and software patches, performing troubleshooting, and acting as the primary point of contact for technical support in system operations.

The successful candidate will have a Higher Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, along with 2-4 years of relevant IT experience in system administration. Strong knowledge of networking is essential, as is solid experience with Linux administration, system configuration, shell scripting, and patch management. Experience with backup operations is also required, and knowledge of Docker and containers is a plus.
