You'll be part of a collaborative team developing a world-class platform for beloved puzzle titles like the NYT Crossword, Spelling Bee, and Wordle. The role involves designing and developing new features using Swift and SwiftUI, contributing to app architecture decisions, and ensuring app stability.
Key responsibilities include: • Designing, developing, and testing new features using Swift • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to guide product development • Contributing to app architectural decisions and technical roadmap • Participating in technical discussions with backend developers • Promoting Swift development standards within the NYT iOS community • Ensuring app stability through quality code and QA partnerships
The ideal candidate will have: • 2+ years of full-time iOS engineering experience • Strong Swift skills, including unit testing, networking, data persistence, and UI development • Understanding of SwiftUI and iOS design patterns • Experience translating product goals into shippable code
This hybrid role is based in the NYC headquarters, with an expectation of coming into the office two days per week. The annual base pay range for this position is between $104,000 and $130,000.
