Description For Senior Cost Engineer

The Tsui Group is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Cost Engineer to join their aviation team in Los Angeles County. The role involves developing and maintaining cost data for new construction and renovation work for Terminal Development & Improvement Program projects. These projects may include Airline Terminal Improvement, Airport Service Improvement, Terminal Development, and Asset Renewal.

The ideal candidate will have proven cost engineering experience with complex, multi-phase, multi-million-dollar construction and/or renovation projects. Key responsibilities include preparing detailed computer-generated cost reports, providing analysis and review of cost/budget expenditure, maintaining cost control reports, and liaising with Data Processing for support.

Essential duties include managing project costs, monitoring project budgets for multi-billion-dollar Capital Improvement Programs at airports, reviewing sub-contractor invoices, preparing job costing reports, performing cost-to-complete analysis, attending project meetings, developing creative reporting tools, and working with various software systems like Prolog.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field, along with relevant certifications such as CCE, CCP, PMP, or PE. The ideal candidate will have 10 years or more of cost engineering experience, preferably in aviation projects, and experience managing a team of cost engineers.

Responsibilities For Senior Cost Engineer

  • Manage project costs for multi-billion-dollar Capital Improvement Programs

Requirements For Senior Cost Engineer

  • 10+ years of cost engineering experience in construction projects, preferably aviation
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Cost engineer certification (CCE, CCP)
  • Proficiency with large-scale cost reporting systems, preferably Prolog
  • Experience with Design-Build and Construction Management at Risk delivery methods
  • Ability to manage a team of cost engineers
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
