Description For Senior Office Engineer

The Tsui Group is seeking a Senior Office Engineer for a large educational client within Los Angeles County. The role involves coordinating various aspects of project delivery and leading the administration of construction projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning, design, budget maintenance, scheduling, and labor compliance
  • Coordinating with Project Managers, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Interpreting architectural and engineering plans
  • Reviewing and responding to Requests for Clarifications, Change Order Proposals, and Change Directives
  • Preparing cost estimates and negotiating change orders
  • Monitoring applications for payment and project timelines
  • Performing site walks and developing progress reports
  • Reviewing contractor schedules and ensuring compliance with standards
  • Maintaining project files and logs
  • Coordinating progress meetings and preparing documentation
  • Assisting in project close-out activities
  • Leading efforts in material compliance testing

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of full-time paid professional experience in project or construction management of commercial and/or public or educational facility construction projects valued over $15M. A bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management is required, with some flexibility for equivalent experience.

Additional preferred experience includes:

  • Building Information Modeling (BIM)
  • Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects
  • Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS)
  • Division of State Architect (DSA) construction/design process

This role offers a competitive salary range of $99,000-$104,000 and a comprehensive benefits package, including full medical coverage, vacation and sick pay, 401k contribution, and more.
