Description For Sr. Production Systems Engineer

The Production & Creative Tech Ops team is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of studio production systems and data networking infrastructure. The team supports the daily operations of media, live show productions and broadcast of products through various distribution channels. They are responsible for gathering new system/network operational requirements, designing solutions, documentation and execution of system upgrades, in order to meet the ever-changing technology requirements of a studio environment.

The Production Systems Engineer is expected to perform a variety of specialized and complex activities involved in the installation, configuration, set-up, operations, modification and repair of computer, automated office, telecommunications and multi-media equipment, systems and related hardware and software. This role is responsible for engineering solutions from productions and creatives from multiple segments including workplace solutions, infrastructure services and end user services. The position provides on-site services and remote support services for studio production locations across the states.

Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating and project managing production technology projects
  • Participating in planning for system infrastructure and evaluating new technologies
  • Proposing and implementing system enhancements
  • Engaging with clients to establish requirements and design solutions
  • Performing infrastructure management and maintenance tasks
  • Managing phones and conference rooms
  • Performing user administration and management
  • Responding to system/network outages and technical problems
  • Providing onsite end user support during broadcast production hours
  • Managing and supporting network infrastructure services
  • Performing preventative maintenance on production systems and equipment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience as support analyst/engineer
  • Entertainment industry experience
  • Experience with Windows OSs and Microsoft Office
  • Experience supporting voice/data network infrastructure
  • Outstanding ability to interact and communicate with all levels of end users
  • Competency using Jamf/SCCM, or similar technologies preferred
  • MacOS Support, Apple Certified, MCSE, CCNA, ITIL certifications are a plus

The role offers a competitive salary range of $112,600 - $151,000 per year, along with potential bonuses, long-term incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package.
