Description For Systems Engineer

At TheIncLab, we engineer and deliver advanced systems that revolutionize how our customers, the Department of Defense, and mission-critical teams achieve success. As a Systems Engineer, you will collaborate closely with system architects, engineers, and government stakeholders to tackle intricate challenges of systems engineering critical to national security and defense. You will use Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools like Cameo, MATLAB, Simulink, and AFSIM to develop resilient systems architectures that integrate tactical networks, high-performance computing, command & control systems, data analytics, and unmanned autonomous systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teams to gather and analyze requirements for integrated systems
  • Use MBSE methodologies and tools to design, simulate, and validate complex system architectures
  • Evaluate alternative system architectures and provide insights for decision-making
  • Identify and mitigate risks within system architectures
  • Support requirements management and architecture change management processes
  • Communicate technical recommendations to customers and government partners

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in systems engineering with focus on MBSE
  • Experience with systems modeling tools (SysML, UML, Cameo Systems Modeler, or MagicDraw)
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and practices
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience with systems engineering and integration for DoD projects
  • 3+ years of experience applying MBSE in systems-of-systems design
