Responsibilities For Data Engineer
- Collaborate with Data Science, Reporting, Analytics and other engineering teams to build data pipelines
- Oversee the design and maintenance of data pipelines
- Write tests and documentation for processes and tooling
- Maintain streaming pipelines that ingest near-real time data
- Take ownership of projects and collaborate with Analytics and Reporting teams
- Maintain and expand existing systems, tooling and infrastructure
Requirements For Data Engineer
- Solid foundation in computer science, data structures, distributed systems, algorithms
- 7+ years of experience in data or software engineering
- Strong knowledge of Python or Java
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark, Flink, Beam)
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with BigQuery, Redshift or other SQL-based data warehouses
- Experience with major cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Experience with testing frameworks
- Experience with RESTful API development
- Strong organization and collaboration skills
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
