As a Data Engineer at theScore, you will be part of a team of smart, friendly, and dedicated Data Engineers, Analysts, and Data Scientists working on developing high-quality and sustainable data-driven solutions to improve profitability, growth, and user experience. You'll collaborate with ML, Analytics, and Reporting teams to develop and maintain data pipelines & internally developed tools to improve workflows and automate processes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with various teams to build data pipelines, infrastructure, and tooling
• Overseeing the design and maintenance of data pipelines
• Meeting performance, scalability, and reliability goals
• Writing tests and documentation for processes and tooling
• Adapting to new technologies and frameworks
• Maintaining and expanding existing systems and infrastructure
• Maintaining streaming pipelines for near-real-time data ingestion
• Taking ownership of projects and collaborating with other teams

Requirements:

• Solid foundation in computer science
• 5+ years of experience in data or software engineering
• Strong knowledge of Python or Java
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark, Flink, Beam)
• Experience with BigQuery, Redshift, or other SQL-based data warehouses
• Experience with major cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
• Experience with testing frameworks and RESTful API development
• Strong organization, collaboration, and communication skills
