As part of the theScore Data Engineering team, you will be working with a team of smart, friendly, and dedicated Data Engineers, Analysts, and Data Scientists determined to develop high-quality and sustainable data-driven solutions to improve profitability, growth and the user experience. You'll work hand in hand with the ML, Analytics, and Reporting teams to develop and maintain data pipelines & internally developed tools to improve workflows and automate processes wherever possible.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with various teams to build data pipelines, infrastructure, and tooling
- Overseeing the design and maintenance of data pipelines
- Meeting performance, scalability, and reliability goals
- Writing tests and documentation for processes and tooling
- Adapting to new technologies and frameworks
- Maintaining and expanding existing systems and infrastructure
- Maintaining streaming pipelines for near-real-time data ingestion
- Taking ownership of projects and collaborating with other teams
The ideal candidate has:
- 5+ years of experience in data or software engineering
- Strong knowledge of Python or Java
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and streaming technologies
- Experience with BigQuery, Redshift, or other SQL-based data warehouses
- Experience with major cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Strong organization and collaboration skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

Requirements For Data Engineer, Services

- Strong knowledge of Python or Java
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark, Flink, Beam)
- Experience with BigQuery, Redshift or other SQL-based data warehouses
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform (GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Experience with testing frameworks (Pytest, PyUnit, Junit, Mockito)
- Experience with RESTful API development
- Strong organization and collaboration skills
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
