Description For QA Engineer

As a QA Engineer at theScore, you'll be part of the Quality Engineering team responsible for delivering high-quality software solutions to millions of sports fans across various platforms. You'll work on theScore's popular media app and sports betting app 'theScore Bet Sportsbook & Casino'. Your role involves cross-platform testing (Android, iOS, and Web), developing test cases, performing various types of testing, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and participating in Scrum ceremonies. You'll use tools like TestRail, Jira, and Postman, and work on functional, integration, regression, and smoke tests. The ideal candidate has a strong background in software testing, experience with mobile platforms, API testing, and a passion for delivering high-quality software. Responsibilities For QA Engineer

  • Learn and collaborate with other teams to understand the platform and key user actions
  • Develop test cases in TestRail based on requirements from PMs in Jira
  • Perform cross-platform testing (Android, iOS, and Web) of sports media and betting apps
  • Execute test cases and test plans to ensure high-quality feature delivery
  • Conduct functional, integration, regression, and smoke tests on various environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure QA best practices
  • Participate in bug triaging, priority assessment, and coverage tracking
  • Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies
  • Work with the Test Automation team to review and prioritize test cases for automation

Requirements For QA Engineer

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent knowledge/experience
  • Aptitude for coding or scripting
  • Strong familiarity with functional and regression testing on native Android and iOS platforms
  • Experience with defect tracking systems (JIRA)
  • Experience making REST API calls or GraphQL queries/mutations
  • Experience with Web/HTTP Proxy tools like Charles Proxy
  • Experience testing event-driven architectures
  • Ability to provide estimates for testing effort
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and passion for high-quality software
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to learning new technologies
