As a Senior Analytics Engineer on the Data Insights & Analytics team, you'll work with key stakeholder groups to help them leverage data to track performance, make better decisions, and ultimately reach their goals. You'll liaise with business stakeholders to identify data-driven projects and opportunities, work with data engineers to build data pipelines, use SQL expertise to develop dbt models, manage Airflow tasks and scheduling, complete analyses, and present clear recommendations to business stakeholders. You'll also help with the implementation and adoption of a data exploration tool across the organization, mentor Data Analysts and Analytics Engineers, and work with the leadership team to define strategy and direction of Analytics at theScore.
The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a passion for data, a background in quantitative analysis, and likely has an interest in professional sports, betting & eSports. You should have a university degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or a related field, with 4+ years of experience in analytics, preferably at a digital company. Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL, hands-on experience with dbt, and experience with data exploration tools like Looker or Tableau are required.
