As a Senior Data Engineer in the Data Engineering team, you will work with a team of smart, friendly, and dedicated Data Engineers, Analysts, and Data Scientists to develop high-quality and sustainable data-driven solutions. Your role involves improving profitability, growth, and user experience by collaborating with ML, Analytics, and Reporting teams to develop and maintain data pipelines and internally developed tools.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with various teams to build data pipelines, infrastructure, and tooling
- Overseeing the design and maintenance of data pipelines
- Meeting performance, scalability, and reliability goals
- Writing tests and documentation for processes and tooling
- Adapting to new technologies and frameworks
- Maintaining streaming pipelines for near-real-time data ingestion
- Taking ownership of projects and collaborating with other teams
The ideal candidate has a passion for data, a strong background in data engineering, database management & computer science. An interest in professional sports, betting, and/or eSports is a plus.

Responsibilities For Senior Data Engineer, Services
- Collaborate with Data Science, Reporting, Analytics and other engineering teams to build data pipelines, infrastructure and tooling
- Oversee the design and maintenance of data pipelines
- Contribute to the continual enhancement of the data engineering architecture
- Meet performance, scalability, and reliability goals
- Write tests and documentation for processes and tooling
- Adapt to working with new technologies and frameworks
- Maintain and expand existing systems, tooling and infrastructure
- Maintain streaming pipelines that ingest near-real time data
- Take ownership of projects and collaborate with other teams
Requirements For Senior Data Engineer, Services
- 7+ years of experience in data or software engineering
- Strong knowledge of Python or Java
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Strong knowledge of streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark, Flink, Beam)
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience building scalable infrastructure
- Experience with BigQuery, Redshift or other SQL-based data warehouses
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform (GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Experience with testing frameworks (Pytest, PyUnit, Junit, Mockito)
- Experience with RESTful API development
- Strong organization and collaboration skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
