theScore, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PENN Entertainment, is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to join their Mobile Platform team. As a key member of this team, you'll work on designing, architecting, and shipping amazing applications, collaborating with iOS developers to improve the development experience, and creating efficiencies through custom mobile tooling. You'll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the mobile CI/CD pipeline, solving difficult problems related to large data sets and responsive UIs, and pushing technology forward through research and knowledge sharing. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of commercial iOS development experience, proficiency in Swift and UIKit, and experience with SwiftUI. Responsibilities For Senior iOS Engineer
- Work with the product team to design, architect, and ship applications
- Collaborate with iOS developers to improve the development experience
- Improve code through refactoring and applying modern design patterns
- Work with other engineers through technical collaboration, discussion, and code review
- Create efficiencies by building custom and innovative mobile tooling
- Maintain and enhance the mobile CI/CD pipeline and tooling
- Solve difficult problems related to large data sets and responsive UIs
- Help QA team to automate testing and continuous integration
- Keep up to date with the latest advances in iOS development
- Push technology and processes forward through research, implementing proof-of-concepts, and sharing knowledge
Requirements For Senior iOS Engineer
- 3+ years of experience working with Swift, UIKit
- Experience building applications with SwiftUI
- 5+ years of experience in commercial iOS development
- Demonstrated ability in delivering clean, organized, testable, and highly performant code
- Experience with unit testing
- Experience integrating APIs and back-end services with mobile applications
- Experience working with Git
- Experience working with Cocoapods and/or Swift Package Manager
- Experience working with large native code bases with significant complexity
- Experience with mobile CI/CD tools and automation (eg. GitHub actions, Fastlane)
- Experience with production monitoring tools (eg. Crashlytics, Datadog)
- Solid knowledge of object-oriented design, software development principles, and design patterns
- Solid knowledge of concurrency best practices and pitfalls
- Highly proficient with profiling/debugging tools
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, and/or equivalent experience
