Its media app 'theScore' is one of the most popular in North America, delivering fans highly personalized live scores, news, stats, and betting information from their favorite teams, leagues, and players. theScore's sports betting app 'theScore Bet Sportsbook & Casino' delivers an immersive and holistic mobile sports betting and iCasino experience.

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be part of the Quality Engineering team, responsible for delivering quality software solutions to millions of sports fans on various platforms. You will advocate for quality throughout the SDLC, ensure processes and best practices are followed, and work with stakeholders who value your input. The team consists of diverse, talented QA Analysts, QA Engineers, and QA Automation Engineers using modern testing tools, technologies, and techniques.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand the platform and key user actions
  • Providing cross-platform testing (Android, iOS, and Web) of sports media and betting apps
  • Developing and reviewing test cases in TestRail based on requirements from PMs in Jira
  • Performing functional, integration, regression, and smoke tests on various environments
  • Participating in bug triaging, priority assessment, and coverage tracking
  • Working with the Test Automation team to review, provide, and prioritize test cases for automation

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Experience mentoring other QA Engineers and guiding in areas of white box testing
  • Strong familiarity with functional and regression testing on native Android and iOS platforms
  • Experience with defect tracking systems (JIRA), REST API calls, and GraphQL queries
  • Knowledge of Web/HTTP Proxy tools like Charles Proxy
  • Experience with environment monitoring tools like Datadog
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure best practices in QA
  • Participate in bug triaging, priority assessment, and coverage tracking
  • Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies
  • Work with the Test Automation team to review and prioritize test cases for automation
  • Provide accurate estimates for testing effort on low and high-risk features

Requirements For Senior QA Engineer

  • Experience mentoring other QA Engineers
  • Experience coding or scripting
  • Strong familiarity with functional and regression testing on native Android and iOS platforms
  • Working experience using defect tracking systems (JIRA)
  • Experience making REST API calls and GraphQL queries/mutations
  • Experience working with Web/HTTP Proxy tools such as Charles Proxy
  • Experience in using environment monitoring tools like Datadog
  • Experience gathering logs from mobile testing sessions on iOS and Android
  • Experience testing event driven architectures
  • Experience documenting test strategy for complex platforms
  • Experience performance profiling mobile apps
  • Exposure to production monitoring and working with Incident Management teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills
