The position involves leading the validation and testing processes for their innovative VPS system. You'll be responsible for managing a drone fleet, designing hardware setups, and ensuring product quality through comprehensive testing procedures. As an early team member, you'll have significant influence over product development and company direction. The role requires hands-on experience with hardware design, electronics, and 3D printing, along with strong problem-solving abilities and autonomous work ethics. Experience with drones, ArduPilot, or PCB design is advantageous.

Responsibilities For Founding Engineer – Test Lead
- Maintain and operate a fleet of drones for continuous testing of our system
- Scope, design and fabricate hardware test setups
- Own the operational testing of the product end to end
- Work closely with the engineering team, flagging issues and coordinating relevant test procedures
Requirements For Founding Engineer – Test Lead
- Hands on experience building and designing hardware
- Basic electronics skills including soldering, knowledge of circuits and component selection
- History of designing parts, experience with FDM 3D printing and CAD (Fusion360 preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to solve technical issues on the fly
- A high degree of autonomy, and a track record of being able to structure your own time and independently identify milestones
