Responsibilities For Manufacturing Engineer II - Coating

  • Provide technical knowledge and documentation of thin film manufacturing lab
  • Manage process implementation and provide documented feedback
  • Lead engineering projects utilizing resources and applying process optimization
  • Operate and utilize metrology instruments for thin film characterization
  • Identify failure by Root Cause Analysis of thin film processes
  • Document installation and onboarding of new equipment
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior members

Requirements For Manufacturing Engineer II - Coating

  • Bachelor's degree in physics, materials science, or Engineering disciplines
  • 4+ years of optical thin film coating experience in manufacturing environment
  • Experience with thin film software and understanding of optical thin film design
  • Strong experience maintaining and troubleshooting coating equipment
  • Computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
  • SolidWorks and GD&T knowledge for coating fixture design
  • TF Calc or Optilayer for coating analysis
  • Must be able to work on ITAR restricted projects
  • Strong problem solving/analysis skills
  • Strong attention to detail
