Project Manager, Product Design Engineer

As a Project Manager and Product Design Engineer at Thorlabs, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and managing products in the field of laser beam analysis, with a focus on polarization and power detection. Your role spans from initial idea to production, overseeing the entire product lifecycle. You'll coordinate projects, collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop goal-oriented solutions. Your expertise in laser power measurement, beam analysis, light polarization, and beam-shaping optics will be crucial in developing innovative products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Concept and Development: Design and develop products in laser beam analysis, focusing on polarization and power detection.
• Product Management: Guide products through their entire lifecycle, from conception to market launch and series production.
• Project Management: Coordinate projects and work closely with interdisciplinary teams.
• Technical Expertise: Apply your knowledge in laser power measurement, beam analysis, light polarization, and beam-shaping optics.

Requirements:

• Education: Completed degree in Photonics, Physics, or a related field.
• Experience: Good knowledge and practical experience in laser power measurement, beam analysis, and light polarization. Experience with beam-shaping optics is advantageous.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in electrical and optical measurement technology, basic knowledge of electronic circuits.
• Teamwork: Enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams with goal-oriented thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Practical Experience: Ideally, you bring practical experience from a similar position.
