Consultant System Support Engineer

As a Consultant System Support Engineer at Thoughtworks, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of application systems. This position involves active participation in incident management and provides exposure to DevOps practices. Your contributions will be essential to ensuring system stability and you'll have the opportunity to learn and grow while assisting in the delivery of solutions to our clients.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working with incident management processes and tools
• Navigating complex application systems to debug business-impacting issues
• Implementing standards and best practices for operational efficiency, stability, and system availability
• Utilizing continuous delivery practices to develop, support, and deliver high-quality software
• Leveraging various logging techniques for alerting, monitoring, and root cause analysis
• Creating meaningful reports/KPIs and setting up monitoring mechanisms for quick incident identification and response
• Applying cutting-edge technology from the Thoughtworks Technology Radar to solve client problems

Required qualifications:

• Experience with programming languages like Java and .NET
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell
• Familiarity with debugging tools and troubleshooting code issues
• Experience with relational or non-relational databases
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Azure pipelines
• Exposure to application monitoring tools (DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Comfort with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in English
• Willingness to participate in a rotation-based 24x7 team
