Senior Application Security Engineer

At Tide, we are building a finance platform designed to save small businesses time and money. We provide our members with business accounts and related banking services, as well as a comprehensive set of connected administrative solutions from invoicing to accounting. As a Senior Application Security Engineer, you will be part of the Product Security team within the Tide Security Engineering team.

Your role will involve:

• Regularly diving deep into mobile and web app technologies to understand feature development and proactively hunt for vulnerabilities
• Being proficient in securing cloud-native applications and applying security best practices
• Conducting threat modeling and guiding developers in secure design principles
• Helping remediate vulnerabilities through strategic initiatives, writing patches, or creating actionable vulnerability tickets
• Being a subject matter expert across a wide range of security areas, particularly in Application Security
• Mentoring and coaching junior engineers to raise the security bar across the organization
• Leveraging automation and security tools to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines

We're looking for someone with:

• Broad and deep knowledge across AppSec
• Expertise in tools like Burp Suite
• Excellent communication skills to articulate vulnerabilities clearly
• A passion for security demonstrated through blogs, public speaking, or open-source contributions
• Ability to write proof-of-concept scripts
• Hands-on experience with securing cloud-native applications
