Sr. Software Engineer, Data

As a Senior Software Engineer, Data on the Analytics Engineering team at Tinder, you'll have the opportunity to build critical analytics infrastructure used to derive insights and serve several teams in the organization. You'll be part of a team that influences all decisions at Tinder through data.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Improving trust in data by championing data quality across the organization
2. Influencing and helping build the next generation analytics platform at Tinder
3. Improving the resiliency and performance of the existing platform
4. Empowering colleagues by building and supporting self-serve tools for data exploration and analysis
5. Collaborating and building strong partnerships with Product, AI/ML, Data Science, Marketing, and Finance teams
6. Mentoring junior members of the team

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years of industry experience in data engineering and software development
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling techniques
• Expertise in large-scale distributed data processing platforms (e.g., Databricks, Apache Spark)
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience with ETL pipelines and workflow management tools

This is a hybrid role requiring in-office collaboration twice per week, located in Los Angeles, CA or Palo Alto, CA. The salary range for this position is $180,000 - $210,000 per year, subject to geographic adjustment if working from a different location.
