Description For Graduate Engineer, Structural

TKDA, a 100% employee-owned architecture and engineering firm, is seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer to join their Rail Division in Minneapolis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to work on diverse industrial projects while developing their engineering expertise.

The position involves collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team on projects for Class I, short line, and passenger railroads across the country. You'll be engaged in the complete project lifecycle, from schematic design through construction, working on various structural projects including industrial facilities, locomotive fueling stations, and administration buildings.

As a Graduate Engineer, you'll conduct site assessments, develop construction documents, and observe construction operations. The role offers hands-on experience in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber framing design, with opportunities to work on both new construction and renovation projects.

The company offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement (3 days in office/2 days WFH) and is relocating its headquarters to South Loop Bloomington. TKDA provides comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) matching, ESOP, and annual bonuses.
