TKDA is seeking a Graduate Traffic Engineer to join their dynamic team in Minneapolis. The position requires 2-5 years of experience in transportation engineering, focusing on traffic data collection, intersection evaluations, and corridor studies. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing traffic patterns using simulation software and developing construction plans for various transportation infrastructure elements.

The company is transitioning to a new headquarters in Bloomington's South Loop neighborhood by April 2025. They offer a flexible hybrid work model, starting with 4 days in-office and transitioning to a 3/2 split once acclimated. Responsibilities For Graduate Traffic Engineer

  • Observing and collecting traffic data
  • Performing intersection evaluations
  • Completing traffic and corridor studies
  • Conducting analyses using simulation and modeling software
  • Preparing preliminary and final designs
  • Developing construction plans for traffic signals, lighting, construction staging, maintenance of traffic, and signing/striping

Requirements For Graduate Traffic Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with emphasis in traffic or transportation engineering
  • 2-5 years of transportation and/or related traffic study and plan development experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
