Description For Senior Professional Engineer / Project Manager - Highway

TKDA is seeking a Senior Professional Engineer / Project Manager to lead complex transportation infrastructure projects in the Greater Milwaukee market. This role combines technical leadership with business development in a "Seller-Doer" approach. The position offers an opportunity to join a 100% employee-owned firm that values collaboration and innovation.

The role involves leading projects for designing complex, safe, and efficient transportation infrastructure systems, working directly with clients on sustainable transportation planning, geometric layouts, multimodal planning, and both preliminary and final design. Reporting to the Highway Group Manager, you'll play a crucial role in the company's expansion into the Greater Milwaukee area, with a new office opening in Spring 2025.

As a senior leader, you'll collaborate with the Highway Group Manager and Vice President of Surface Transportation Engineering to advance services, maintain client relationships, and develop new business opportunities. The position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement with 3 days in office and 2 days working from home.

The compensation package is competitive ($105,845 - $135,620) and includes comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan. The role requires a Professional Engineer registration in Wisconsin and at least 10 years of highway design experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to make a tangible impact on community infrastructure while advancing their career in a supportive, employee-owned environment. The position combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, offering the chance to mentor less experienced professionals and contribute to significant transportation projects.
