Description For Senior Professional Engineer, Water/Wastewater

TKDA, a 100% employee-owned engineering firm with over 430 professionals, is seeking a Senior Professional Water/Wastewater Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for an experienced engineer to make a significant impact in the water infrastructure sector.

The position combines technical leadership with strategic business development, requiring someone who can both lead complex engineering projects and mentor the next generation of professionals. Based in Saint Paul, MN (soon moving to South Loop Bloomington), the role offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement with 3 days in office and 2 days remote.

As a senior team member, you'll be responsible for managing multi-disciplined projects, developing detailed plans and specifications, and ensuring quality control throughout project lifecycles. The role extends beyond technical work to include business development, proposal writing, and relationship building with key stakeholders across the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro area and beyond.

The ideal candidate will bring 10-20 years of progressive technical experience, with at least 5 years directly managing water/wastewater infrastructure projects. A Professional Engineer registration in Minnesota is required, along with a bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.

TKDA offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, ESOP participation, and annual bonuses. The salary range of $100,779 - $149,695 reflects the senior nature of the position and the value TKDA places on experienced professionals.

This role is perfect for someone who combines technical expertise with leadership abilities and business acumen. You'll have the opportunity to shape major infrastructure projects while building and mentoring a team, all while being part of an employee-owned company that values collaboration and professional growth.

The position requires up to 15% travel for client meetings and site visits, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of office work and field experience. The company's upcoming move to South Loop Bloomington demonstrates its commitment to growth and modern workplace environments.
