Description For Project Engineer - Transportation

TNP is seeking a Project Engineer - Transportation to join their team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to serve state and local governments with the design of roadway, drainage, structural, traffic, and related transportation improvements. The position involves plan production and design of transportation projects, including city street and TxDOT highway improvements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing research & completing technical design tasks
  • Preparing construction documents for public works infrastructure projects
  • Establishing good communication with team members & clients
  • Organizing and scheduling work to meet project goals
  • Coordinating with technical experts and other engineering teams
  • Assisting Project Managers in project and client management
  • Directing the work of Civil Engineers & CAD Designers
  • Assisting in the technical training of young Civil Engineers

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (Civil) registration in Texas or ability to obtain within one year
  • 4-6 years of experience in transportation design preferred
  • Proficiency with MicroStation, Geopak, OpenRoads, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong commitment to professional development
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
