Crypto Senior Backend Engineer

Token Metrics is seeking a multi-talented Back End Engineer to facilitate the operations of our Data Scientists and Engineering team. The role involves constructing frameworks using SQL, Python, R, Java, and C++ to prepare information. The Big Data Engineer will be responsible for employing machine learning techniques to create and sustain structures for data analysis, while staying familiar with dominant programming and deployment strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Liaising with coworkers and clients to elucidate project requirements
• Conceptualizing and generating infrastructure for big data access and analysis
• Reformulating existing frameworks to optimize functioning
• Testing structures to ensure fitness for use
• Building data pipelines from various sources (API, CSV, JSON, etc.)
• Preparing raw data for Data Scientists
• Implementing data validation and reconciliation methodologies
• Ensuring work is backed up and accessible to relevant coworkers
• Staying up-to-date with industry standards and technological advancements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Engineering, Big Data Analytics, Computer Engineering, or related field (Master's degree is a plus)
• 3+ years of experience in Python, Java, or any programming language development
• 3+ years of SQL & No-SQL experience (Snowflake Cloud DW & MongoDB experience is a plus)
• Expert proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, Python, C++, Java, R
• Expertise in building Data Lake, Data Warehouse or equivalent
• Expert in AWS Cloud
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in groups
• Capacity to manage duties with minimal supervision
