Senior/Staff/Principal Mechanical Engineer

Topologic is revolutionizing the $2T apparel industry by developing innovative solutions to eliminate overproduction waste. We're seeking a Senior/Staff/Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Boston, where you'll be at the forefront of designing and building groundbreaking machines from scratch. Our focus is on precision machine design and mechanically intelligent behavior, backed by $10m from leading VCs and CAD insiders.

As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be responsible for inventing, designing, and testing new machines while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation. The role offers hands-on experience with rapid prototyping, including milling, turning, and 3D printing at both mesoscale and microscale.

The ideal candidate brings substantial mechanical engineering experience, particularly in designing complex mechanical and mechatronic systems, with expertise in industrial CAD, CAM, and PLM systems. Experience in textile production, industrial automation, or micro-machines is highly valued. We're moving to a new lab and microfactory in Somerville in March 2025, offering excellent access to public transportation and parking.
