Description For Software Engineer (Backend)

Traba is revolutionizing the $50B light industrial staffing market by leveraging cutting-edge technology including location monitoring, predictive algorithms, machine learning, AI, and computer vision. Backed by prestigious investors like Founders Fund, Khosla Ventures, and General Catalyst, we're seeking an experienced full-stack engineer to join our founding team.

As a Backend Software Engineer, you'll be instrumental in building our core product suite, including the React Native worker mobile app, React/Node.js business web app, and tools platform. Working directly with the CTO, you'll influence the product roadmap and own key technical decisions that shape our foundational platform.

The ideal candidate is a voracious learner who thrives in exploring new technologies, values clear communication, and pays attention to detail. You'll need 3+ years of experience with our tech stack (TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL) and familiarity with Docker. Experience with or enthusiasm to learn React Native is essential.

Responsibilities For Software Engineer (Backend)

  • Write & review high quality, performant code for React Native mobile app, React/Typescript web apps, and Node.js/PostgreSQL APIs
  • Architect & document tech platform and advise key product & infrastructure decisions
  • Collaborate with designers to implement pixel-perfect UIs
  • Implement CI/CD workflows using Docker & Github Actions
  • Add analytics & monitoring for user experience & application health
