Software Engineer (React Native)

We are seeking a scrappy, entrepreneurial Senior React Native Engineer to join the founding team to help build the core worker experience in our mobile app. You'll partner with our CTO, the engineering team, and our design partners to deeply understand our workers' needs, set the product roadmap, and make key product & architecture decisions that will inform our foundational tech platform.

• Value clear communication: You recognize the importance of clear communication, documented planning, and transparent, frequent feedback.
• Sweat the small stuff: You have strong opinions on design patterns, IDEs, tabs vs. spaces—you understand that how you do one thing is how you do everything.
• Deep expertise with React Native: You know all the ins and outs of React Native/Expo, are intimately familiar with deployment and release processes for the App/Play Stores.

You Will:

• Write & review high quality, performant code for our React Native mobile app
• Inform key product & infrastructure decisions, with an eye towards scalability
• Collaborate with designers to implement pixel-perfect, eye-pleasing UIs
• Add analytics & monitoring to help understand our user experience & application health
• Contribute in various ways to a scrappy founding team building the future of flexible light industrial staffing

You Have:

• 5+ years experience with Typescript, Javascript, React Native
• Experience with Expo, Firebase Auth
• Experience working in an early-stage engineering team, working through ambiguity and being a self-starter
• A passion for helping people find meaningful work that works for them
