Senior Security Engineer, Blockchain

Trail of Bits seeks a Senior Security Engineer, Blockchain to join our growing team that is shaping the future of blockchain security. We review blockchain code and smart contracts for security vulnerabilities, provide strategic advice to customers, and build custom tools like Slither, Echidna, and Medusa. The role involves being at the forefront of blockchain security research, reviewing blockchain applications for vulnerabilities using manual analysis and automated tools, and leveraging Go/Rust expertise to review blockchain off-chain code or infrastructure and smart contracts.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Code Review: Work directly with leading teams in the blockchain industry to review their code and help secure their products.
2. Problem Solving: Design and implement solutions for difficult engineering and research problems.
3. Tool Maintenance and Improvement: Collaborate to maintain and improve existing blockchain security tools.
4. Research and Innovation: Push the boundaries of the industry through research and tooling.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience as a blockchain security engineer
• Deep understanding of Solidity security and the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)
• Proficiency in Go and/or Rust
• Experience with various blockchain platforms (Cosmos, Starknet, Substrate, Solana)
• Strong background in reviewing off-chain components and nodes
• Automated testing proficiency (fuzzers, CodeQL, Semgrep)
• Excellent technical communication skills
