True Anomaly is seeking talented individuals to join their Embedded Flight Software team. As part of this team, you will work on real-time, performance-critical software for spacecraft systems, covering development from early concepts through final deployment. This role offers hands-on experience in developing and optimizing embedded and flight software, accelerating key functions on space hardware, and meeting stringent real-time performance needs. You will gain experience at every phase of the spacecraft program including design, analysis, manufacturing, test, and flight. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, experience with real-time or embedded systems, proficiency in C or C++ and Rust, familiarity with FPGA fundamentals, and knowledge of various protocols and hardware subsystems. Compensation includes a competitive base salary range and benefits such as health insurance, 401K, and parental leave. The position requires the ability to maintain or obtain TS//SCI clearance and is initially remote with some travel required.

Responsibilities For Embedded Software Engineer

  • Develop, implement, and test real-time embedded software for spacecraft systems
  • Perform requirements review and verification analysis, test plan and coverage analysis
  • Assist with system integration, testing, and flight software deployment
  • Optimize embedded software for timing, efficiency, and performance on specialized hardware
  • Support component, system, and spacecraft integration of electronics
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
  • Drive improvements to minimize cost and schedule while maximizing reliability and capability

Requirements For Embedded Software Engineer

Rust
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience with real-time or embedded systems, microcontroller or microprocessor-based development
  • Proficiency in C or C++ and Rust
  • Familiarity with FPGA fundamentals
  • Familiarity with reading schematics and data sheets for components
  • Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and software for low-latency applications
  • Knowledge of different IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems
  • Passion for the space industry
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain or obtain TS//SCI clearance
