True Anomaly is seeking a Mission Systems Engineer to join their team in developing and integrating cutting-edge aerospace and defense systems. This role is critical in defining, analyzing, and ensuring the successful implementation of mission requirements across complex aerospace platforms. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, analyzing, and optimizing spacecraft trajectories and operations related to rendezvous, docking, and proximity missions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define mission objectives and system requirements
- Lead system trade studies and performance evaluations
- Design and analyze RPO mission trajectories
- Develop and maintain high-fidelity models for spacecraft motion
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mission analysis or space operations
- Expertise in RPO mission design and spacecraft operations
- Proficiency in mission analysis tools (STK, FreeFlyer, GMAT)
- Strong understanding of orbital mechanics and autonomous space operations
- Experience with simulation tools and programming (MATLAB, Python, C++)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI or TS/SAP U.S. government security clearance
