The position offers competitive compensation including a base salary range of $135,000-$170,000 for California-based employees, plus equity and comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities For Senior Mechanical Engineer
- Support the design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical systems and structures for advanced satellites
- End-to-end development of mechanical structures, from concept and prototyping to qualification and flight hardware delivery
- Develop detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for spacecraft components
- Perform structural, thermal, and dynamic analyses to validate designs
- Design and develop detail piece part and assembly drawings
- Assemble and test development and flight systems
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements For Senior Mechanical Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- 4+ years of professional experience in mechanical design
- Experience with spacecraft level mechanical architecture and design
- Knowledge in mechanical GD&T
- Experience with configuration control, MES and PLM tools
- Proficiency in CAD tools, such as Solidworks
- Passion for the space industry
- Proven ability to lead projects from concept to delivery
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for required authorizations
