Description For Staff Embedded Software Engineer

True Anomaly is at the forefront of space technology innovation, focusing on enhancing space security and sustainability through advanced spacecraft, software, and AI solutions. We're seeking a Staff Embedded Software Engineer to lead our embedded systems development efforts for next-generation spacecraft.

As a Staff Embedded Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for driving the end-to-end software development lifecycle for mission-critical spacecraft systems. This role combines deep technical expertise in embedded systems with leadership responsibilities, requiring both hands-on development skills and the ability to mentor junior engineers.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge space technology in a fast-paced startup environment. You'll be developing real-time, performance-critical embedded software that directly impacts space missions, while collaborating with cross-functional teams of mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers.

Key technical areas include real-time operating systems, low-latency software design, and hardware-software co-design for space applications. The role requires expertise in C, C++, and Rust, along with deep understanding of microcontroller-based development and FPGA solutions.

The position offers competitive compensation ($160,000-$210,000) plus equity and comprehensive benefits. Initially remote, the role will transition to our Los Angeles factory in early 2025. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced embedded systems engineer passionate about space technology and ready to make a significant impact in the space industry.
