As a Staff Mechanical Engineer, you'll lead the design and development of next-generation cislunar vehicles, working on advanced satellite systems and mechanisms. Responsibilities For Staff Mechanical Engineer
- Lead the design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical systems and structures for advanced satellites
- Lead end-to-end development of mechanisms, from concept to flight hardware delivery
- Develop detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for spacecraft components
- Perform structural, thermal, and dynamic analyses
- Design and develop detail piece part and assembly drawings
- Assemble and test development and flight systems
- Manage team of mechanical engineers and CAD drafting technicians
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements For Staff Mechanical Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- 7+ years of professional experience in mechanical design
- Experience with spacecraft level mechanical architecture and design
- Knowledge in mechanical GD&T
- Experience with configuration control, MES and PLM tools
- Proficiency in Solidworks CAD tools
- Proven ability to lead projects from concept to delivery
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for required authorizations
