Key Responsibilities: • Lead all payload systems engineering aspects • Apply interdisciplinary approach to lifecycle-balanced solutions • Develop integrated payload system designs • Coordinate with spacecraft engineering teams • Manage requirements, risks, and technology readiness • Participate in software integration and testing • Ensure high-quality operational products • Analyze technical data and optimize payload systems • Resolve cross-functional technical issues
Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, physical sciences, or computer science • 10+ years of relevant aerospace industry experience • Excellent leadership and communication skills • Experience with payload systems engineering principles • Knowledge of EO sensor performance and modeling • Experience with system budgets, requirements analysis, and verification processes • Payload & satellite integration, test, and on-orbit operations experience
Preferred Skills: • Graduate Degree in relevant field • 15+ years in spacecraft payload systems engineering • Full payload life-cycle experience • Optical hardware expertise (EO/IR payloads, optical communications, etc.) • Experience with optical data processing • Proficiency in analysis tools (Matlab/Simulink, Python, STK) • Technical leadership experience
