As a Thermal Engineer at True Anomaly, you'll join a dynamic team working on next-generation spacecraft development. You'll lead the design, analysis, and validation of thermal control systems, ensuring optimal performance across all mission phases. The role offers a unique opportunity to work with state-of-the-art thermal analysis tools and contribute to groundbreaking space technology.

The position requires expertise in spacecraft thermal analysis, testing, and model correlation, with hands-on experience in thermal vacuum testing and instrumentation. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, systems, and electrical engineers, to integrate thermal control solutions into spacecraft designs.

Responsibilities For Thermal Engineer

  • Lead design, analysis, and validation of spacecraft thermal control systems
  • Develop thermal models using specialized software
  • Perform integrated thermal analysis for heater/radiator sizing
  • Design and develop thermal control components
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
  • Define and oversee thermal testing campaigns
  • Support on-orbit operations
  • Perform trade studies for thermal design optimization

Requirements For Thermal Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in space thermal analysis and control
  • Excellence in thermal vacuum testing, analysis and model correlation
  • Proficiency in Thermal Desktop and Solidworks
  • Ability to lead projects and manage schedules
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be eligible to obtain TS//SCI clearance
  • U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for U.S. Department of State authorizations
