We're seeking a talented Thermal Engineer to join our innovative team in either Los Angeles or Denver. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on spacecraft thermal systems, contributing to the next generation of space technology.

The position involves leading thermal control system design, analysis, and validation for spacecraft, ensuring optimal performance across all mission phases. You'll work with state-of-the-art tools like Thermal Desktop and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate thermal solutions into spacecraft designs. The role requires expertise in thermal vacuum testing, analysis, and model correlation, with opportunities to work on various aspects of spacecraft thermal management.

We offer competitive compensation ranging from $110,000 to $180,000 based on experience and location, plus comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision insurance, 401k, and equity. Responsibilities For Thermal Engineer

  • Lead design, analysis, and validation of thermal control systems for spacecraft
  • Develop thermal models using Thermal Desktop, ESATAN, or similar software
  • Perform integrated thermal analysis for heater/radiator sizing
  • Design and develop piece part and assembly drawings for thermal components
  • Assist with electronic thermal predictions and board level analysis
  • Collaborate with mechanical, systems, and electrical engineers
  • Define and oversee thermal testing campaigns
  • Support on orbit operations
  • Perform trade studies for thermal design optimization

Requirements For Thermal Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in space thermal analysis and control
  • Excellence in thermal vacuum testing, analysis and model correlation
  • Proficiency in Thermal Desktop and Solidworks
  • Ability to lead projects and manage schedules
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be eligible to obtain TS//SCI clearance
  • U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for U.S. Department of State authorizations
