The role involves maintaining various client's Splunk instances, focusing on data on-boarding, content development, reporting, and visualizations. The ideal candidate will have strong Splunk engineering and administration experience, with certifications preferred.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing distributed Splunk installations
- Configuring advanced Splunk features like Indexer Clustering and Search Head Clustering
- Developing custom Splunk content (searches, reports, dashboards)
- Data on-boarding and custom parsing rules
- Working in Linux and Windows environments

Responsibilities For Splunk Engineer - Top Secret w/ Full Scope Poly Required (R-00010)
- Maintain various client's Splunk instances
- Focus on data on-boarding, content development, reporting, and visualizations
- Design and implement ground up distributed Splunk installations
- Configure advanced Splunk features
- Develop custom Splunk content
- Perform data on-boarding activities
- Configure indexes, index routing, and retention policies
- Work closely with multiple customers
- Manage expectations and track engagement scope
Requirements For Splunk Engineer - Top Secret w/ Full Scope Poly Required (R-00010)
- Top Secret Clearance w/ Full Scope Poly
- Splunk Core Certified Consultant or Architect Certification preferred
- Strong experience/certifications in ITSI and/or Splunk Enterprise Security
- Experience designing and implementing distributed Splunk installations
- Experience with advanced configuration of Splunk including Indexer Clustering and Search Head Clustering
- Experience maintaining and administering enterprise Splunk implementations
- Experience developing custom Splunk content
- Proficient at data on-boarding activities
- Experience configuring indexes, index routing, retention policies
- Experience working in Linux and Windows environments
- Excellent written and oral skills
- U.S. Citizenship
