The role involves maintaining various client's Splunk instances with a focus on data on-boarding, content development, reporting, and visualizations. The ideal candidate will have strong Splunk engineering and administration experience, relevant certifications, and work well in a team environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing distributed Splunk installations
- Advanced configuration of Splunk including Indexer Clustering and Search Head Clustering
- Developing custom Splunk content (searches, reports, dashboards)
- Data on-boarding and custom parsing rules
- Configuring indexes, routing, and retention policies

Responsibilities For Splunk Engineer - Top Secret w/ Full Scope Poly Required (R-0009)
- Maintain various client's Splunk instances
- Data on-boarding
- Content development
- Reporting and visualizations
- Design and implement ground up distributed Splunk installations
- Develop custom Splunk content including scheduled searches, reports, dashboards
- Configure indexes, index routing, retention policies
- Work closely with multiple customers, manage expectations, and track engagement scope
Requirements For Splunk Engineer - Top Secret w/ Full Scope Poly Required (R-0009)
- Top Secret Clearance w/ Full Scope Poly
- Splunk Core Certified Consultant or Architect Certification preferred
- Strong experience/certifications in ITSI and/or Splunk Enterprise Security
- Experience designing and implementing distributed Splunk installations
- Experience with advanced configuration of Splunk
- Experience maintaining and administering enterprise Splunk implementations
- Proficient at data on-boarding activities
- Experience configuring indexes, index routing, retention policies
- Experience working in linux and windows environments
- Excellent written and oral skills
- U.S. Citizenship
