Senior Backend Engineer

Truecaller, a leading communication app with over 400 million active users, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their Search team in Stockholm, Sweden. As part of this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining critical services such as the search engine for caller identification, spam protection systems, and fraud protection services. You'll collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team to design, develop, and maintain highly scalable backend systems that serve hundreds of millions of users.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in Java or Scala, experience with distributed systems and data-intensive applications, and a good understanding of data structures and algorithms. You'll be working in a diverse, international team of about 400 people from 35 different nationalities, spread across offices in Stockholm, Bangalore, Mumbai, Gurgaon, and Tel Aviv.
