Description For DataOps Engineer

Trustly is seeking a DataOps Engineer to join their fast-growing Americas team. The role involves working closely with the data team to build, scale, and optimize Trustly's big data environment, including data lake setup, AWS infrastructure stack, BI data warehouse, and automation/visualization tools. Key responsibilities include implementing ETL processes, QA checks, data pipelines for customer reporting, partnering with DevOps for security compliance, and collaborating with data scientists to productionalize machine learning models. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in big data, AWS cloud services, and experience with tools like Spark, Delta Lake, and Airflow. Responsibilities For DataOps Engineer

  • Build, scale, and optimize the Trustly big data environment
  • Implement ETL processes and QA checks
  • Implement data pipelines for customer reporting and dashboards
  • Partner with DevOps to ensure compliance with security protocols
  • Partner with data scientists to productionalize machine learning models
  • Documentation of data flows, architectural setup, and data model

Requirements For DataOps Engineer

Python
Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT/Math/CS/Engineering or other technical discipline
  • Successful history of building big data pipelines and data sets
  • Experience with AWS cloud services (DMS, EC2, EMR, RDS) and big data tools (Redshift)
  • Experience with relational databases (preferably Postgres), strong SQL coding, data modeling, data warehouses
  • Experience with IaC, Terraform, etc.
  • Experience with CI/CD
  • Experience with automation and workflow management tools (e.g. Airflow, kubeflow)
  • Intermediate Python programming skills
