As a Senior Back-End Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing technical solutions, creating documentation, and developing complex backend services that power Trustly's payment processing capabilities.
The ideal candidate will bring strong Java expertise, solid software engineering principles, and database knowledge. You'll work on creating and maintaining API endpoints, integration tests, and system monitoring solutions using tools like Prometheus, Kibana, and Grafana. Responsibilities For Senior Back-End Engineer
- Design tech solutions and discuss non-functional requirements
- Create technical documentation and assess new solutions
- Develop metrics, alerts, and system dashboards
- Provide trainings for newcomers and operational teams
- Monitor system modules health and performance
- Support Operational teams and fix issues including PROD database changes
- Lead initiatives with Product Team and gather business requirements
- Develop complex solutions and lead initiatives
- Create and maintain integration and unit tests
- Create API endpoints and new backend services
- Analyze large volumes of data and logs
Requirements For Senior Back-End Engineer
- Solid knowledge and experience with Java
- Solid knowledge of software engineering concepts
- Solid knowledge of relational and/or non-relational databases
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript
- Have ownership and focus on solutions
- Ability to work with remote and international teams
- Ability to communicate clearly and objectively
- Advanced English proficiency
