Description For Software Engineer

Trustly, a leader in the human-centric payments revolution, is seeking a Software Engineer to join their End User Connectivity team within the Product & Technology organization. As a tech company at heart, Trustly is passionate about simplifying online transfers, payments, and refunds, serving merchants across various industries including E-commerce, Financial Services, Gaming, and Travel.

In this role, you'll be part of a development team building new product features and the next-generation system platform. You'll develop scalable systems, ensuring high quality in automation and monitoring. Working in an agile culture combined with DevOps, you'll have full responsibility from code to on-call duties.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, maintaining, and improving Trustly's platform and digital products
  • Building new product features and contributing to the next-generation system platform
  • Developing scalable systems with high-quality automation and monitoring
  • Collaborating closely with other engineers, lead devs, engineering managers, and product managers

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2+ years of experience with Java 8 or newer
  • Experience with Git version control
  • A commitment to quality and best practices
  • Full lifecycle development experience
  • Experience with SQL, Kubernetes, Linux, Kafka, Docker, or Spring Boot
  • DevOps environment experience
  • Proactivity and eagerness to learn
  • Fluency in English

Additional valuable skills include knowledge of cloud-based solutions (preferably AWS), service-based architecture and microservices, REST APIs, and modern front-end frameworks like React.
