Twilio is seeking a Principal Solutions Engineer to join their team and play a critical role in the sales process. This position is key to enabling customers to build the future of communications. As a Principal Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering the technical win at customer accounts, leading the technical pre-sales relationship, proposing technical architectures, demonstrating products, anticipating concerns, and offering creative solutions. You'll be the go-to technical person for the sales team, mentoring and uplifting peers while working independently on complex opportunities.
The ideal candidate should have 8+ years of pre-sales experience with complex, technical products or customer-facing experience in delivery or consulting. You should be an excellent communicator and presenter, able to engage with CEOs and software engineers alike. Your responsibilities will include leading technical and product sales, recommending best-practice solutions, and guiding customers on using Twilio's APIs. You'll need to take the initiative in identifying and solving problems for both customers and the organization.
Key qualifications include strong software development experience, particularly in backend (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP) and web development (JavaScript, HTML/CSS, frontend frameworks like React, Vue.js, Angular), as well as experience with REST APIs. Familiarity with cloud platforms and telecom technologies is a plus.
